New passenger lounge to open at Paris-Charles de Gaulle Airport

Aéroports de Paris, the airport authority for Pasir in France area, will open a new passenger boarding lounge, Satellite S4, on 28 June 2012 at Terminal 2E of Paris-Charles de Gaulle Airport.

The new €580 million ($727.14 million) boarding satellite at Paris-Charles de Gaulle will be a 100,000 square metre facility, which makes it the largest passenger lounge on the Air France network. The S4 has a light and spacious layout. The boarding lounge accommodates 6,000 square metre of boutiques, bars and restaurants space and 25,000 square metre of dedicated space as the boarding lounges.

The S4 also accommodates a new Air France lounge, which has been specifically developed for the Air France passengers. The new lounge is a 3,000 square metre facility, which has been designed by Brandimage in association with Noé Duchaufour-Lawrance. The design of the lounge reflects inspiration from a park, which offers passengers a place to rest, work, read, relax and eat and drink.

The beauty of the S4 is punctuated by the incorporation of Water walls, which has been designed by Taro Suzuki. The satellite also features wooden patios, internal and external biowalls and trees, which assisted the building to attain the status of High Environmental Quality structure.

S4 will also feature a museum, which is slated for opening in later part of 2012. The museum will showcase original works from famous museums in Paris.
