New Meltdown lamp from Cappellini
Swedish designer Johan Lindsten has created the new Meltdown lamp for the Italian company Cappellini, which is designed to provide a stylish as well as a new look to the surrounding.
Created as a funky coloured glass globe, the Meltdown lamp is blown by hand into a mold with a little round space created at the bottom to provide space for the bulb.
As suggestive of its name, the Meltdown lamp looks as as if it is melting downward. Featuring a different shape, the lamp is available in various shades like gray, pink, tobacco, blue, amethyst, amber and clear.
Because of its shape and appearance, the lamp can be used as solo lighting piece at home or in groups at different heights to provide a new look to the surrounding. It can also be used in a single row and colour to create a classic atmosphere.
