Pedder & Scampton give Southend's beach huts a new look
London-based architecture practice Pedder & Scampton has responded to an ambitious brief set by Southend Council calling for 'a new generation' of beach huts for the town's seafront promenade
The practice's design, which updates the traditional seaside icon, uses an eco-friendly design featuring green planted roofs, recycled materials and a distinctive slanted shape that gives each hut its own private terrace.
