New green Audi terminal breaks ground
The new Audi terminal has broken ground in Torrance, California, US.
The project has been designed by Whitfield Associates, Incorporation and will be developed by Sauers Lopez Construction. The property, located on a 3 acre-area, will cover an area of 45,000 square feet. It will comprise a car showroom possessing a capacity of 17. The showroom will encompass two floors and will don an open-plan concept.
The facility will incorporate several eco-friendly elements including installation of high-performance heating and air systems. The interior as well as the exterior of the structure will be equipped with LED lighting fixtures, thereby reaping energy cost cuts. Incorporation of smog eating-finished ACM panels, and atypical landscaping will add to the sustainability.
The building is due to open by November 2012.
