New Elante Mall opens in India


A new mall dubbed as the Elante Mall has opened its doors to the shoppers in Chandigarh, India, which is designed by architecture firm Woodhead’s Australian-based retail team.


Said to be the largest mall in Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and Chandigarh, the Elante Mall is part of a new mixed-use development.

Spanning over 1.06 million square metres or retail space, the Elante Mall includes an assortment of department stores, international and domestic lifestyle brands, a hypermarket, multiplex, entertainment zone, food court and open spaces.

The mall also features a 1,858 square metre of food court with 750 seating capacity. It features multitude of food and beverage options, a children’s games area and multiplex PVR Cinema.

The Elante Mall stores various brands like Mark’s & Spencer’s, Lifestyle, Shopper Stop, Westside and Pantaloons department, international fashion brands like Guess, Gant, GAS, Diesel, Zara, Swarovski, Bebe, Charles & Keith, and a Hamleys Toy Store.

The overall development plan of the project also includes a world class hotel and office spaces. Elenate formally opened to the public in April 2013.

The Elante Mall is developed by India-based Larsen & Toubro Group.
