New Chicago Hyatt to undergo $25 million renovation
Chicago, Illinois' Hyatt Chicago Magnificent Mile, owned by Sunstone Hotel Investors, is scheduled to undergo a $25 million renovation.
The renovation is aimed at bringing the old, 417-guestroom hotel in line with the facilities offered at the 4-plus star, premium upper-upscale category hotels. The 17-storey hotel is located at 633 North Saint Clair Street in Chicago, adjacent to Northwestern University’s Downtown campus and Northwestern Memorial Hospital.
Scope of the renovation project involves upgrades to all public spaces of the hotel, which will feature new check-in. Furniture, work, lighting and flooring of the restaurant, lounge and casual zones will undergo change.
The plans also include two-fold expansion in the area of the fitness center. Additionally, the fitness centre will be upgraded into a première health club with advanced equipment. A technology zone will also be placed within the hotel, to add to the convenience of guests.
