A new affordable housing scheme, named as 32thirty-two Apartments, has opened in NW Washington DC, which has been designed by architectural practice Grimm + Parker Architects by embracing various sustainable design elements.

Located at 3232 Georgia Avenue NW in the Parkview/Columbia Heights neighborhood of Washington DC, the housing scheme is a mix of affordable one bedroom, two bedroom and three bedroom units.

The building has been designed by incorporating various green elements like a unique second floor garden area, green roof deck, and other sustainable development features.

In addition to bringing new affordable rental housing to the community, the building's ground floor level features nearly 11,000 square feet for neighborhood serving retail.

The development team includes Hamel Builders, Inc., general contractor and Klein Hornig LLP and Holland & Knight LLP, attorneys.
