NCC Construction Sweden has won a SEK400 million ($59.2 million) contract from Västfastigheter to builds Angered Hospital in Angered, a suburb in Gothenburg Municipality of Sweden.

The proposed hospital will be located in Angered Centrum and is expected to house specialist clinics and operating theaters, alongside a district health centre.

The scope of the project involves development of 18,000 square meters hospital, which is going to be the first newly built community hospital in Sweden. The building’s design and layout is the result of an innovative approach that is based on the patient and cooperation between areas of treatment.

Construction of the Angered Hospital is scheduled for completion in 2015, and will be conducted on a partnering basis between NCC and Västfastigheter.
