Montgomery Roth chosen as designer for Sheraton New Orleans facelift

The Sheraton New Orleans has selected architecture and design firm Montgomery Roth to design its makeover.

The hotel will accommodate 1110 guest rooms including standard rooms and elegant suites sporting a residential style following the facelift. The Governor’s Suites will now be equipped with The Sheraton Sweet Sleeper Bed, as well as a parlor featuring a 37” flat screen TV, sofa bed, chair and wet bar. The revamped suites will also consist of a connecting second bedroom and will offer glimpses of the surrounding area. The suites will have a capacity to house 30 and meeting space for six to eight people.

The remodelled facility will further feature advanced convention and exhibit facilities spanning 105,700 square feet, a pair of restaurants, a Starbucks and The Pelican Bar. The landmark gazebo and French Quarter courtyard of the Pelican Bar will be kept intact in their original form post upgrades.

The project is due for completion by 5 January 2013.
