Miami Valley Hospital South to open new patient tower
Miami Valley Hospital South in Dayton, Ohio, US is set to open its new $51 million patient tower.
The structure has been designed by Greshman, Smith and Partners with Skanska-Shook serving as the construction manager. The 200,000 square feet tower will expand the facility by nearly twice its existing size to over 400,000 square feet. The new building will encompass five floors. Its top two levels will house private patient rooms with a bed capacity of 48.
The first floor of the building will feature a lobby, cafeteria, conference space, as well as a maternity wing consisting of 16 beds. The second and third levels of the building will allow creation of an additional 48 beds in the future.
