Mengi Yay to complete 40m Extreme super-yacht in early 2013

Turkish yard Mengi Yay is set to complete the construction of the 40-metre Extreme super-yacht in early 2013.

The vessel's exterior design and naval architecture has been done by Ginton Naval Architects. Its interior has been styled by Guido de Groot Design. Light oak, dark lacquered oak, small mirrors, stained floors, white holly and leather detailing feature as the predominant design features of the vessel.

The interior portion of the yacht will be fitted with large windows to optimise natural light penetration. Extreme will consist of six guest rooms which will have a capacity to house a maximum of 12 guests. It will also feature separate accommodation for its seven crew members in three double crew cabins, a captain’s cabin, and a roomy crew messroom.

The hull of the yacht is made in steel which is complemented by an aluminium superstructure. It is powered by a pair of Caterpillar C18 engines offering it a speed of 14 knots, and a range of 3000 nautical miles at 10 knots.
