McCarter & English's Newark office wins LEED Gold, Silver certifications
Law firm McCarter & English LLP has received LEED Gold and Silver certification from the US Green Building Council for its revamped Newark office in New Jersey, US.
The refurbishment of the facility has been executed by global architecture, design, planning and consulting firm Gensler. The office bagged LEED Gold certification for revamp of its practice floors. The build out of the facility's Conference Centre secured a LEED Silver rating.
The facility has imbibed a host of eco-friendly elements. These include installation of advanced lighting technology. The building has also utilised green power while employing measures to reduce water consumption.
The building has made extensive use of reclaimed paper, furniture pieces, and materials. Use of low VOC paints and coatings further contributes to its sustainability. In addition, the office sports an efficient waste management system.
