Mathieu Lehanneur creates Strates furniture system for Objekten

Belgium-based firm Objekten has launched the Strates furniture system.

The design of the system has been conceived by French designer Mathieu Lehanneur with its name derived from the layered sedimentary rock stratum. The furniture incorporates a modular style. Its design calls for integration of a work table and shelf in a small yet functional design.

The piece can be assembled easily in a host of configurations owing to its modular nature. The design of the units of the system allows them to function separately, or as a group to serve as a larger communal working surface.

Strates is formed of birch plywood. The system offers options of three shades to meet individual tastes. It also comes in two sizes which include 148cm x 74cm x 75cm, as well as 190cm x 74cm x 75cm.
