Markus Johansson creates Sapphire cabinet
Swedish designer Markus Johansson has come up with the Sapphire cabinet.
The new storage cabinet incorporates a funky and extravagant style. It features a pair of mirrored door halves which allow different configuration options. The door halves can be reversed or positioned above and below each other to create varied geometric designs. The cabinets have been cut with the help of a computer numerical control machine to allow an exact fit.
The look of the furniture is complemented by the undercarriage which is formed of birch. The cabinet also offers options of pink and black shades to meet individual tastes. Its design makes it a statement piece that can be used in both residential units as well as offices.
The cabinet has been displayed at the Stockholm Furniture Fair 2012 held from 7 to 11 February 2012 in Stockholm, Sweden.
