María del Pilar Velasco and Pau Stephens creates Gifu lamp line
María del Pilar Velasco and Pau Stephens has come up with the new GiFU table lamps.
Their designers, working in Madrid, has presented the lamp collection at the Milan Furniture Fair 2012 held in Italy from 17-22 April 2012.
The range consists of lamps of various sizes. The lamps incorporate a simple look with their shape bearing resemblance to long-necked animals like giraffe. Every lamp is made of five pieces of beech wood of two sizes which constitute its four legs and long neck.
The luminaires are fitted with wooden batons which are joined with wing nuts. This allow the lamps to be completely folded when not in use as well as helps in changing the poses of their legs. A bulb is suspended from a flex threaded through the neck of the lamp.
