UK-based Mansell, a Balfour Beatty brand, has been awarded a £5.2 million ($7.90 million) contract by Kajima Partnerships to design and construct the community hospital in Bicester, Oxfordshire.

Designed to provide a modern healthcare facility with advanced technologies and equipment to the people of the Bicester area, the new community hospital will feature a 12-bed facility with an ambulance base, first aid unit, and out of hours and out-patient areas.

Apart from that, the community hospital will also feature imaging and physiotherapy suites, offices and a community base.

The construction work on the project will start in June 2013.
