Mansell begins construction on $16 million medical facility in UK
UK-based Mansell Construction Services Limited has begun construction on the £10 million ($16.14 million) Anne Rowling Regenerative Neurology Clinic in Edinburgh, UK.
The Anne Rowling Regenerative Neurology Clinic will be developed within the campus of the University of Edinburgh's medical school, in close proximity to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh and existing University biomedical research facilities of the University.
The building will have a welcoming design, with a patient-oriented focus. To be built within an existing purpose built facility, the new 455 square metre clinic will be used for conducting research on degenerative neurological conditions such as Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, Motor Neurone and Multiple Sclerosis.
The project is financed by means of a £10 million ($16.14 million) donation from author JK Rowling and has been named after the author's mother. Construction on the scheme is scheduled for completion in the third quarter of 2012.
