Lovell begins work on residential scheme for Places for People
UK-based developer Lovell Partnership UK has begun construction on a £7.7 million ($12.07 million) residential scheme for development and regeneration specialist Places for People in Edinburgh, Scotland.
Pursuant to the contract, Lovell will develop 93 new homes and apartments at West Gait in Edinburgh. The development will offer 48 homes for affordable ownership, 15 homes for social rent and 30 Mid Market Rent homes. The affordable ownership units are a mixture of both shared equity and shared ownership.
The new residential units will be marked for several energy-efficiency features. The external wall fabric of the homes will offer high levels of insulation. The homes will also incorporate an advanced heat recovery ventilation system, which will exchange air extracted from the kitchen and bathrooms for fresh air.
