Love lights the way at Atrium showroom

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas, and Lighting retailer Atrium has entered into the festive spirit with a new window display, made up of lighting installations by multi-disciplinary design collective GNI projects.

According to GNI projects, the display, which features installation from the Light Loves Collection, 'explores the powerful and emotive side of lighting through a series of playful installations which encourage viewer participation'.

The display comprises three abstract designs, based on heart shapes: Light Love Light is created by layers of electroluminescent strip, positioned by hand and bound within a rusted steel cage. The piece consists of seemingly random glowing red lines which form a heart shape when viewed from a specific angle; Broken Heart encourages the viewer to move around an apparently abstract object within a public place, to find the single perspective from which all becomes clear; and LIGHT London is a play on the classic I NY logo. The stylised heart is rendered by criss-crossing red laser beams, which symbolise 'the passion, love and strong emotion that lighting can inspire'.
