Louise Campbell creates LC Shutters lamp for Louis Poulsen
Danish lighting manufacturer Louis Poulsen has come up with the new LC Shutters lamp.
The luminaire, available in a pendant version, has been designed by Danish/English designer Louise Campbell. The shade of the lamp consists of multiple layers. Its light source is protected from direct view and from being touched with the help of a diffuser.
The diffuser also helps easy maintenance of the luminaire by allowing easy removal and cleaning. The shade and diffuser of the lamp are combined. This enables the lamp to generate an entirely glare-free soft light devoid of distracting shadows and facilitates proper spread of the light.
The features of the luminaire make it ideal to be used in several areas such as above the dining table in residential units, and in offices. LC Shutters offer options of an all-white, and a multi-tone patterned shade. The former is priced at £345 ($543.4) while the latter comes at a cost of £425 ($669.41).
