Los Angeles County has broken ground for the renovation of the Lennox Library, which is one of the oldest library in the county, located next to Los Angeles International Airport.

Upon completion, the library will more than double in size to become a 10,000-square-foot facility. The remodeled library will also include a community meeting room, as well as a teen study room, children's library, homework centre, audio-visual area, and nine public access computers.

Providing improved quality of life and literacy, the renovated library will benefit the children and the residents of the community.

With the ground broken for the renovation on 29 August, the work will take nearly two years to complete. The library is expected to open in 2014.
