London Festival of Architecture announces theme 'Work in Progress'
The annual month-long festival taking place in June will feature a varied programme with more international outlook
This year's London Festival of Architecture (LFA) - a month-long, citywide celebration of architectural experimentation, thinking and practice - will be organised on the theme 'Work in Progress'.
Taking place throughout June 2015, the festival will feature a programme of events organised by London's leading cultural and academic institutions including the Design Museum, Royal Academy of Arts, Royal Institute of British Architects, Serpentine Galleries and Victoria & Albert Museum, while an open call for architects, artists, designers and curators to participate in the festival and respond to the 2015 theme will be announced in February 2015.
Alongside a programme of exhibitions, installations, talks and debates, the festival will include film screenings, family activities, architecture evenings, walking tours and cycle rides. It will also give the public access to architects across London through the RIBA London's programme of Open Studios.
According to the organisers, 2015's event will feature an expanded international programme focused on the British Council's International Architecture Showcase and the Serpentine Galleries' 15th annual summer pavilion, which will be designed by Spanish architects SelgasCano.
The London Festival of Architecture is delivered by The Architecture Foundation, British Council, New London Architecture, and RIBA London, under Chair Patricia Brown.
