Lochside House Hotel in Scotland incorporates Marley Alutech’ rainwater systems

The Lochside House Hotel in Cumnock, Scotland has incorporated stylish and sustainable range of rainwater systems from UK-based Marley Alutec in a new extension.

The hotel is set in picturesque surroundings overlooking lochs on either side. The design brief required that the hotel’s external fittings, including the rainwater system, should complement the sophisticated look of the building.

To achieve the effect, the Alutec Evolve Box system with the 72mm Traditional Downpipe was specified. One of the latest additions to Marley Alutec’s range, the contemporary aluminium box profile, which features concealed top fixing brackets, offers a sleek alternative to the more traditional curved profile, making it suitable for modern building designs. Its Evolve Box system has a maximum flow rate of seven litres per second, which considerably reduces the number of downpipes required.

The Evolve range is durable and lightweight with a life expectancy of more than 50 years. A polyester powder coating ensures a hardwearing, fade resistant finish, which reduces maintenance and will last the lifetime of the product.

The Lochside House Hotel offers 17 en-suite bedrooms including two suites and disabled accommodation. This will also include three cottage suites all with en-suite facilities and living room. It also features Bar Lounge, Landscaped Gardens, Extended Car Parking and Function suites with views over the Loch, accommodating up to 240 guests for functions and weddings.
