Lacoste’ newest and largest store features drywall from Bespoke

Lacoste, the French sportswear brand, has opened its largest store in London, which features a drywall from Bespoke Drywall.

Boasting an area of 600 square metre, the flagship store of the brand is a three-level retail outlet that is located on Brompton Road, near Harrods. The architect for the store was DesignLSM, while the fit-out services were provided by DG Professional Interiors.

The store features trough finished ceilings with QIC bead finishes, which allows extraction of the smoke. Bespoke has used Speedline metal frame and Gyproc plasterboard, supplied by CPD, to install 400 square metre of ceilings and 500 square metre of drywall.

The company completed the installation in a span of seven weeks. During the tenure of the project, Bespoke co-ordinated with other companies and delivered on time.

The critical point centred on the installation of the drywall on the ground and first floor ceilings. The ceiling void of these floors acted as a plenum to circulate air around the store. The striking straight line ceiling design also carried the product lighting within the higher level element of the ceiling coffers.
