Kraus-Anderson to upgrade three Bloomington schools


Midwest-based Kraus-Anderson Construction Company has been selected by the Bloomington Public Schools to help manage its upcoming facility improvements.


Under the improvement scheme, three Bloomington schools - Jefferson High School, Westwood Elementary and Olson Middle School - will be renovated to make the schools up to the standard.

The major upgradation of the Jefferson High School includes electrical upgrades, installation of new lighting schemes, new feeders and new bleachers.

To be upgraded with mechanical updates, the renovation of the Westwood Elementary school includes the installation of new boiler/chiller, ductwork and the remodeling of the bath area.The upgrade work also includes new ceilings, energy-efficient windows and installation of new lighting schemes.

Keeping in mind the safety of the students, the major upgradation work of the Olson Middle School includes the replacement of the fire alarm system.

The three major construction projects are scheduled to be completed by 2013.
