KOKET to showcase Camilia cabinet at Maison et Objet 2013
American furniture designer and manufacturer KOKET and The Global Fund for Widows will unveil Camilia, a hand-carved cabinet at Maison et Objet in Paris.
Designed passionately and exquisitely, Camilia was created for the most regal dining rooms. The design is inspired by the aristocratic palaces of the Alexandrian pashas of Egypt.
Camilia features artisan hand-carved peacock, which is meticulously engraved and delicately finished in gold leaf. Its dimensions are: W 60cm | 22,17'', D 55cm | 21,65'', and H 220cm | 86,61''. The cabinet weighs 170Kg.
Camila was created in support of widows and female heads of households in the developing world. All proceeds from sales of the Camilia will be donated to such widows, which will provide them with opportunities of health, security, stability, and dignity.
