Kier Construction completes final phase of Carmarthen Guildhall restoration
Kier Construction has completed the second and final phase of the restoration of Carmarthen Guildhall building in the UK.
The structure was originally built in 1771 and accommodates Carmarthen’s crown and magistrate courts. The facility has been equipped with a new heating system, soft floor furnishing and toilet facilities following the makeover. The revamped facility also features new doors and ironmongery.
Work also involved repair and renovation of the current sash windows. The original Morely table and chairs, staircase banister and benches too, have undergone repair work and have been French polished. The cracked marble tiles in the building's foyer space have been replaced. The facility now also incorporates a new security arch and desk. In addition, the stonework in its exterior facades have been cleaned, repaired and substituted.
