KCC's Tower Two wins LEED pre-certification in Hong Kong

Kowloon Commerce Centre (KCC) 's Tower Two, which is being developed by Hong Kong-based developer Sun Hung Kai Properties (SHKP) in Hong Kong, has secured LEED Gold pre-certification from the US-GBC.

The building is likely to feature low-e glass walls, which will bring in daylight into the building. The use of low-e glass walls will also reduce heat absorption, which will cutback energy bills, as the tower will use lesser lights to brighten the building.

The electrical equipment of the building, such as air conditioning, lifts and other electrical installations will meet international energy-efficiency guidelines.

The pipeline tower will leverage KCC's proximity to West Kowloon transportation hub. The centre is connected to the Kwai Hing MTR station by means of footbridge. The tenants of the KCC are encouraged to use public transport, which will being about reduction in pollution caused by vehicles.
