KBR to develop $145 million rail and road separation project in Victoria
Global engineering, construction and services company KBR has been awarded a $145 million contract by VicRoads, in an alliance agreement with John Holland, Metro Trains Melbourne and Public Transport Victoria to develop the Mitcham Road and Rooks Road Rail Separation Project in Victoria, Australia.
Enhancing the public transportation system, the project will provide long-term improvements to public transport and road network efficiencies at two of Victoria’s busiest rail crossings.
The proposed work of project involves the grade separation of Rooks and Mitcham roads from the railway, replacement of 1.8 km rail track.
Apart from that for the convenience of the commuters, the project also includes the construction of a new premium station.
