Kawamura-Ganjavian designs Cajonlight
Spanish architectural studio Kawamura-Ganjavian has designed a new minimalistic light named, the Cajonlight.
The lamp is marked by a unique design which allows it to be placed in various positions, making it a versatile lighting fixture. It's design is based on an experimentation between the space and the light. When turned-on, the lamp creates a bonfire-like light which turns the piece into a versatile object.
The design of the lamp resembles facade of a contemporary building. In off-state, the volume of the piece appears to be missing face, which renders a mysterious character to it. The intensity of the light is determined by the direction of the opening.
The designer has also designed two versions of the light, white lacquered and softly padded upholstered version.
