Kaldewei receives 2013 interior innovation award for Xetis shower surface
Auckland-based bath product manufacturer Kaldewei has received the 2013 interior innovation award as well as a prize by Deutscher Designer Club e.V. (DDC) in the Gute Gestaltung 13 design competition for its Xetis enamelled shower surface.
Designed with stylistic features, the new Xetis enameled shower surface provides individuality to the modern shower design.
The product’s most distinctive feature includes an integrated wall outlet, which relocates the drain from the shower surface to a discreet position behind the wall. The flush-to-floor shower thus blends harmoniously with the bathroom floor so as not to disrupt the purist design of the seamless shower surface.
Created with high quality material and hygiene properties, the Xetis 3.5 milimetre shower surface raises the standard of the modern bath area.
At 2013 IMM International furniture fair in Cologne, the 2013 interior innovation award has been presented by the German Design Council to Kaldewei for its Xetis enamelled shower surface. The award is bestowed for top innovations in all product areas of this industry sector. Xetis also received the “Best of Best” label for outstanding design quality of the enamelled shower surface.
