Jonathan Charles launches Luxe collection
US-based firm Jonathan Charles has come up with the new Luxe collection.
Strong silhouettes and graphic linearity serve as the predominant design features of the new line. The furniture pieces of this range are characterised by a blend of antique and contemporary style. The items make use of the materials and techniques typical of the Depression period with their design ideal for contemporary spaces. Among the various items of the collection include a host of accessories, and stepped tables.
The accessories include a Circular Recessed Mirror, and Stepped Oval Box. Circular Recessed Mirror features a circular mirror donning black lacquer finish and gilt mirror comprising convex glass. The recessed centre leads to a three-dimensional depth to a contemporary take of the classic 30’s Modernist original.

The collection also includes stepped tables offering options of varied height and sizes. The tables include Stepped Coffee Table, Stepped Side Table, Stepped Demilune Console Table, and Stepped Oval Console Table. The furniture pieces sport an Art Deco style with contemporary elements. The base of the items are hand-rubbed in black lacquer. The tables also feature stepped sloping edges donning antique gold leaf finish.
