James Hare to launch three new silk collections
UK-based silk specialist James Hare will launch three new collections, featuring new colour themes and contemporary decorative concepts at Decorex 2012.
The new collections include Shagreen Silk, Soho Silk and Halkin Silk.
Available in various colours ranging from neutrals such as crystal to contrasts such as ‘passion flower‘, the new Shagreen silk aims at bringing pure glamour. It is inspired by exotic shark and ray leathers and suitable for both traditional and modern interiors. It is 135 centimetre wide and is available in 14 colourways. Its price starts from £45 ($70.32) per metre. The silk collection is composed of 60% poly, 15% silk, 15% wool and 10% acrylic.
Bringing new dimensions to James Hare’s range of over 550 plains, Soho Silk is sharp, zappy and contemporary. Soho silk is a new-concept plain, combining sheen and texture with ultra-modern colours. It is 137 centimetre wide and is available in 30 colourways. The price starts from £34 ($53.13) per metre. The collection is composed of 90% viscose and 10% silk.
Soho Dash has a contemporary architectural feel for design detailing with alternate flat embroidery and cut velvet dashes in a range of tonal colours. It is 137 centimetre wide and is available in three colourways. Its price starts from £65 ($101.58) per metre and is composed of 90% viscose and 10% silk.
Based on vintage Kashmiri patterns, Palmyra Paisley is available in five colourways, which can be coordinated with James Hare’s Connaught Silk plains. It is 140 centimetre wide and is available in five colourways. Its price starts from £51 ($79.70) per metre. The collection is composed of 56% silk and 44% wool.
To complement Palymra Paisley, Palmyra Sheers come in ivory and cream. It is suitable for window treatments and bed hangings. It is 140 centimetre wide and is available in two colourways. The price starts from £42 ($65.63) per metre and it is 100% silk.
Available in four neutrals, Ambi is a hand-applied appliqué cord embroidery on plain Soho Silk base.The sophisticated Ambi neutrals with subtle contrast embroidery brings a crisp textural interest. It is 140 centimetre wide and is available in four colourways. Its price starts from £79 ($123.45) per metre and is composed of 90% viscose and 10% silk.
Jammu Stripe, a spacious geometric with textural interest, coordinates with Soho Silk plains. It is sleek and ultra-contemporary and is available in versatile, useable colour combinations. It is 137 centimetre wide and is available in five colourways. Its price starts from £57 ($89.072) per metre with the collection composed of 90% viscose and 10% silk.
