ISG wins home renovation contract in UK
ISG Plc, a UK-based fit out, refurbishment, renovations and construction service provider, has secured a £3.3 million ($5.27 million) contract from Cadogan Estate to refurbish two homes in London, UK.
Under the terms of the contract, ISG will refurbish two homes of the Cadogan Estate including one at 123 Sloane Street, and another at 12 Herbert Crescent.
The Grade II listed, terraced town house at 123 Sloane Street dates back to 18th century. The house till date boasts some of the original heritage features. Scope of the work involves reconfiguration of the internal spaces of the building in compliance with the English Heritage guidelines.
ISG will decrease the floor level in the basement to increase headroom. The renovated basement will feature a bespoke kitchen and dining area. Work also encompasses installation of efficient mechanical and electrical services, advanced A/V units, lighting and security systems, as well as an energy-saving climate control system.
The renovation of 123 Sloane Street is aimed at retaining its original grandeur and design features. All the common areas of the home will feature reclaimed parquet flooring. The contract further involves construction of a new link between the building and the Viscount Chelsea’s neighboring property. The company will also create a new landscape garden as part of the project.
The project is estimated to be over within 22 months.
The 12 Herbert Crescent will undergo a 44-week renovation project. The project will retain the original exterior facade of the building and strip back the internal spaces of the home to create a contemporary residence. Scope of the project involves development of a fitted wine cellar in the basement and a bespoke kitchen.
ISG will install high specification A/V equipment at various places in the home and build a home cinema. The project also involves demolition of an existing extension situated at the rear side of the property. It will substituted with a new two-storey building featuring a roof terrace.
