ISG to construct Regent Circus mixed-use scheme in Swindon
UK-based ISG Plc has been awarded a £16.5 million ($25.06 million) contract by Ashfield Land to construct the new Regent Circus retail and leisure destination in Swindon, which is designed to bring high specification facilities to the area.
To be constructed on the site of the former Swindon Technical College, the mixed-use scheme will be anchored by a new six-screen Cineworld Cinema and a 50,000 square foot Morrisons supermarket.
The multi-storey Regent Circus scheme will also offer eight restaurant units, with tenants including Prezzo, Nandos and ASK, and a 450-space car park.
The scheme will regenerate the existing site and improve the street scene with a new design featuring brick, curtain walling and composite metal cladding. As part of the development, surrounding public realm space will also be upgraded with a new landscaping scheme and feature exterior lighting.
