ISG secures School of Medicine refurbishment contract at University of Dundee
UK-based ISG Plc has secured a £1.2 million ($1.82 million) contract to refurbish the School of Medicine at the University of Dundee in the UK.
Representing the latest phase in an £11 million ($16.74 million) programme to upgrade facilities at one of the UK’s top performing medical schools, the programme will refurbish the level 7 lecture theatre, carry out structural alterations to the building, and upgrade the existing mechanical and electrical infrastructure.
The refurbishment project will include the full strip out of the 375-seat lecture space and the reconfiguration of space to remodel the seating layout, the installation of a new feature staircase, and the delivery of a high specification fit out to the new teaching accommodation.
Surrounded by laboratories, teaching and operating theatre facilities, the Lecture Theatre 1 (LT1) will be refurbished to offer a clean and safe environment for the patients and staffs.
An extension to the North side of the building has already been completed, which provides additional teaching space for the School of Medicine.
