Interserve builds new bespoke building for St Helens College


Global support services and construction group Interserve has built a new £57 million ($89.29 million) bespoke building for St Helens College in Merseyside, UK.


Designed by Ellis Williams Architects, the project was carried out in two build phases covering a total area of 17,500 square metres. The two buildings comprise three and four levels featuring world-class training facilities and resources. The first phase opened in September 2009 with phase II now opening doors. Facilities for the teaching of sport, health, social care, hairdressing, beauty and spa therapy have been created during this phase.

The new facility consists of light and airy study spaces, as well as safe and user-friendly environments. There are a host of breakout areas designed to offer relaxation as well as facilitates working with features such as full Wi-Fi service. The areas have also been designed to allow maximum penetartion of natural light.
