IHG to open first Holiday Inn Express property in Australia


Upscale hospitality brand IHG will open its first Holiday Inn Express hotel in Australia in a prime CBD location in Perth.


To be located at 257 Adelaide Terrace, overlooking the Swan River, the new AUD35 million ($36.544 million) property will incorporate a 20-floor hotel and a circa 1888 heritage house.

Designed with a smart, modern and consistent layout and a select range of amenities, the hotel will feature 224 guest rooms. All the guest rooms will be equipped with free Internet access and Wi-Fi connection. Other amenities of the hotel include spacious intimate meeting spaces, upscale dining options as well as a well equipped fitness studio.

Construction of the hotel is expected to commence in mid-2013 while the opening is slated for early 2015.
