IHG opens two new hotels in UK
UK-based hospitality company InterContinental Hotels Group Plc (IHG) has opened two new hotels - Holiday Inn London Stratford City and Staybridge Suites London Stratford City - in Westfield Stratford City, UK.
Holiday Inn London Stratford City is located at 10a Chestnut Plaza, adjacent to the London 2012 Olympic Park. The 188-guestroom hotel offers two options for drinks and dining, which consist of Twenty Twelve restaurant (located on the reception floor of the hotel) and The Stadium lounge bar with the outside terrace.
The ergonomic work desk and chair and flat screen television sets are among several luxury amenities at the new Holiday Inn. Apart from normal guestrooms, the hotel also has Executive Club Level rooms, which have been done up in warm colours.
To cater to the requirements of the business travelers, the hotel offers approximately 260 square metre of meeting space, split between seven state-of-the-art conference rooms, which offer space for up to 100 people. The other amenities at the Holiday Inn London Stratford includes a fully equipped gym and business centre.
Staybridge Suites London Stratford City is located at 10b Chestnut Plaza and offers a mix of 162 studio and one bedroom suites. The apartment style rooms are larger than a standard hotel bedroom. The rooms have neutral tones, with splashes of vibrant colour. Each suite features a work space area and a fully equipped kitchen.
The public spaces consist of a living room with an open fire, an outdoor terrace with barbecue, exercise room, laundry room and a round-the-clock shop. Other amenities include 'Body Shop', a 24-hours fitness centre featuring advanced cardiovascular equipment including treadmills, cross trainers, bikes and rowing machines.
Staybridge Suites London Stratford City is the first Staybridge Suites property to open in London and the third in the UK alongside Liverpool and Newcastle, which opened in 2008 and 2009, respectively.
The two hotels are owned by a joint venture between Cycas Hotel Partners and Patron Capital. The hotels are operated by Cycas Hospitality under a franchise agreement with IHG.
