Hyatt French Quarter opens in New Orleans after makeover

Hyatt Hotels Corporation has announced the opening of Hyatt French Quarter in New Orleans, Louisiana, US following a $18 million facelift.

The revamp work encompassed the property's 254 guest rooms. It has also provided an overhaul to the exterior, lobby, landscaping and pool and deck area décor of the hotel.

The large renovated guestrooms have been equipped with various facilities like the Hyatt Grand Bed, compact in-room refrigerators, and in-room safes. The hotel now also features Hyatt Stereo iPod docking station and Hyatt Plug Panel media centre, connected interactive entertainment and concierge service on televisions, and HDTV stations.

The upgraded hotel consists of respire rooms which are hypo-allergenic rooms to serve allergic guests. The bathrooms have now been adorned with marble countertops and Portico amenities. Further, the entire hotel now offers internet and Wi-Fi access.

The refurbished facility features remodelled food and beverage outlets including a bodega-inspired market known as Powdered Sugar and Batch. It also houses the Red Fish Grill restaurant. Hard Rock Café will lease about 10,000 square feet in the hotel and is due to open by early 2013.
