Hotel Brunelleschi completes major renovation
A member of Great Hotels of the World's Luxury Collection, Hotel Brunelleschi located in Italy, has completed a major facelift.
The renovation has restored the features of the historic buildings of the hotel which have its origin in the first century AD like the remains of a Roman caldarium and a Byzantine tower. The rooms and common areas of the building now don shades of white and grey to offer a more classic style and reflect the Florentine Renaissance. The theme has been accentuated with installation of Florentine antiques and contemporary furniture pieces such as the facility's new pietra serena fireplace.
The hall of the hotel too, has received a makeover. The facility has retained the stone walls and coffered ceiling while adding a new classic reception counter which draws reference to a conventional studded black leather casket. Panelling with shields of powerful Florentine families, large 18th century terracotta vases, new sofas and armchairs, and a Venetian mirror are among the various other predominant design features adorning the remodelled property. The project has also provided upgrades to Santa Elisabetta restaurant and the breakfast hall of the hotel.
