Hotel Berlin, Berlin completes major upgrades
Great Hotels of the World has completed a major facelift at its member property, Hotel Berlin, Berlin in Germany.
The project has revamped the lobby of the hotel, and implemented an exclusive Airline Crew Lounge which is the first of its kind in the city. The facility's Classic wing, fitness and wellness areas have received an overhaul too. The upgraded hotel further houses 200 new Premium rooms.
The design of the five levels of the building now draw reference to various decades of Berlin’s history. The new rooms incorporate contemporary interior fittings by designer Peter Kempf. The Berlin, Berlin Suite has now been equipped with the floating bed. The new bedrooms sport amenities like 42-inch LED TVs, soundproof windows, rain showers, as well as offer Wi-Fi access.
The events space of the hotel has increased its size from 1300 to 3000 square metres following the makeover. The refurbished facility comprises 26 new conference suites. All the conference suites feature a balcony. The new boardroom of the hotel has a capacity to accommodate a maximum of ten delegates.
