Hotel Adlon Kempinski in Germany installs energy saving LED lamps from GE
Hotel Adlon Kempinski in Germany has installed energy saving MR16 7-watt LED lamps from GE in 382 guestrooms by replacing the halogen lighting, which has reduced the energy consumption by 80%.
The hotel was looking for a lighting solution where the new lamps had to offer quality lighting that fit into the aesthetics of the hotel without compromising design characteristics. The solution was also expected to be compatible with the current wiring and transformer infrastructure to avoid rewiring costs.
Reducing energy consumption by 140,000 kWh per year compared to the halogen lamps previously used, 7,000 GE MR16 7-watt LED replacement lamps were installed throughout the hotel in Berlin.
The dimmable GE MR16 7-watt LED lamps claim to offer a long 25,000 operating life, which is said to be five times longer than the previously used halogen solution.
