HN Group breaks ground on $37 million luxury residential scheme in Portugal
HN Group has begun the construction on a €30 million ($37.42 million) high-end villa project Cascais, Portugal.
The project involves construction of 11 pavilion-type villas in a gated community. The project has been designed by universal design practice Broadway Malyan. The villas are separated from each other by means of a spine wall and will feature a private swimming pool, decked terrace and barbecue area.
The homes have private and semi-public areas, which are separated by day and night uses areas. The south-facing side of the villas will feature open space, the northern side will have private bedroom compartments.
The single storey villas have higher ceiling height on the southern side of the villas, which will create more private areas on the north-facing side. The homes will have sun-lit full basement floor with large light wells. The villas will have car parking spaces with direct links to villas.
The homes will incorporate passive solar control techniques, consisting of over-sailing roofs and sliding timber panels that will protect the homes from direct sun; thereby protecting them from heating up.
