Hinsdale Hospital in Illinois to construct new Adventist Cancer Institute

The Hinsdale Hospital in Illinois will construct a new 54,000 square feet cancer centre named as the Adventist Cancer Institute, which is designed to provide world-class personalised cancer care to the cancer patients.

Located at Ogden Avenue and I-29, the new $48 million cancer centre will provide diagnosis, treatment, and chemotherapy and radiation treatments in one convenient location, which will save time as well as reduce stress.

Paying homage to the city of Hinsdale, the new centre will feature light and soft colours, which will promote comfort and peace. It will feature 18 private treatment rooms equipped with entertainment centres and other high-tech comforts and five open patient bays for patients who prefer to socialise in a group setting.

The other additions of the centre include two linear accelerators and 21 exam rooms. It will also provide imaging services, including all general imaging and women-focused imaging services like mammography.

Construction work on the site is scheduled to begin in late spring/summer 2013 with completion targeted for late 2014.
