Hickory Hills Park to open after renovations
The City of Marietta, Georgia has completed renovation of the Hickory Hills Park and plans to open it on 11 May 2012.
Sprawling over 10.6-acres at 400 Chestnut Hill Road near Powder Springs Street, the Hickory Hills Park recently witnessed completion of a $1.7 million renovation project. The park formerly consisted of two grassy fields with a walking track and aging parking lot.
The project has delivered two tennis courts, two youth-sized soccer fields for up to 10 year old kids, a multi-purpose field, an extended, 10-feet-wide and half a mile long walking track as well as three new picnic shelters. The space features a playground featuring slides, swing sets, and climbing structures for children in the age group of two to 12 years.
The project has also created a new parking lot, which offers space for approximately 139 vehicles. The park has also received new restrooms as well as an elevated area with swings overlooking the park. The project has been delivered by US-based CRS Building Corporation.
