Hendrick Construction completes new events facility in North Carolina
US-based Hendrick Construction Inc. has announced the completion of a new events facility called the Grove at Carowinds, in Charlotte, North Carolina.
The Grove is located at the North Gate of the park adjacent to Carowinds’ premier rollercoaster, The Intimidator. It is designed to be used for company gatherings, school field trips, and family reunions.
The Grove comprises of six event venues called Cedar, Oak, Maple, Magnolia, Palmetto and Dogwood, which are named after the trees in the park. It can accommodate up to 15,000 people.
The Grove also includes a new VIP room to host upscale events. The development includes an enclosed, air-conditioned space called Rose room that offers Audio/Video capabilities to meet any need from business meetings to award ceremonies. The project has also updated kitchen facilities of the amusement park.
The Carowinds is owned and operated by Cedar Fair Entertainment Co.
