Hazza Bin Zayed Stadium to open in December 2013
A new stadium named Hazza Bin Zayed Stadium in Al Ain, UAE which is currently under construction, will be officially opened in December 2013.
Hazza Bin Zayed Stadium is touted as The latest and the most modern football stadium in the UAE and will be the new home ground for Al Ain Football Club’s first team.
Combining innovation and tradition, the design of the stadium is in-line with FIFA requirements that will enable it to host national and international events. The design incorporates cultural Emirati elements, such as the date palm-shaped façade as well as elements of modernity such as LED panels.
The new three tiered stadium stadium can accommodate a total of 25,000 people with over 3,000 premium seats and onsite parking for over 2,000 vehicles. The stadium boasts one of the highest ratios of premium seating in the world for football stadia. The close-up auxiliary area of 5.4 metres gives spectators an unrivalled fan experience with no seat being far from the action.
The stadium’s design lays a special emphasis on safety and security. The stadium’s location and design of surrounding areas have also been constructed to ensure ease of accessibility and minimise disruption to the community.
Hazza Bin Zayed Stadium is part of a larger project, which features residential, commercial and leisure facilities, including a hotel, built over 500,000 square metres. The project will also feature a club house, which will include a modern gym and host a variety of sports games, from volleyball to handball and basketball to baseball.
