Hamish Tennent creates new Rocker Stool
New Zealand-based industrial designer Hamish Tennent has come up with a new Rocker Stool.
The new seat has been developed based on a theme of play. It sports a low height with a simple style. The furniture offers a sustainable take with the incorporation of a cork top. The look of the piece is complemented by its body which is made of slip cast ceramic.
A unique feature of the new stool is that it tilts in the last angle the previous seated person has leaned before standing. This is achieved by filling the inside of the stool with black sand. The aim of the piece is to evoke a reaction from the user and invite the user to test the angle of the stool.
