Guido de Groot wins ShowBoats Interior Design Award 2013
Bespoke Dutch luxury yacht design studio, Guido de Groot Design, has received the ShowBoats Interior Design Award 2013 in the category of semi displacement motor yachts for the AB116 36.25m superyacht Diamond.
Built by the Italian shipyard AB Yachts, part of the Fipa Group, the superyacht Diamond features naval architecture as well as exterior design by Marco Arnaboldi.
Accentuated with an elegant interior by Guido de Groot, the AB 116 Diamond features a generous flybridge with a floating command helm. Designed to accommodate a total number of 11 guests, the Diamond yacht features slender-looking hull, smooth, tapering, and winning lines.
It features a full beam master cabin with a spacious bathroom, relaxation lounge and a fitness room that can be converted into a twin cabin. Apart from that it also features additional two twin cabins as well as a VIP double cabin.
The split level main salon follows the AB tradition of creating large vertical spaces ahead of the helm position. Diamond can accommodate six crew members.
The ShowBoats Design Awards are presented to the designers and creative teams in a range of disciplines like interior design, exterior styling, naval architecture etc.
